We are on a mission to create a game-changing, open-source developer platform — starting from a Supabase-like SaaS tailored for China, and evolving into a brand new programming language on PostgreSQL with Web IDE and cloud platform.
The Big Picture
Build a functional + visual-text hybrid language (compiler written in OCaml)
Compile directly to WASM + SQL through MoonBit and Gel backends
Run on C/Zig runtime to turn Postgres into an API server
Code in a developer-first collaborative WebIDE with compiler service in the browser
Deploy locally or in our cloud with integrated schema migration, VCS/CI/CD, and more
What You’ll Work On Now
Hold your horses, I did mention “starting from Supabase C2C” because that’s the launchpad to build first. You will have your opportunity to get involved in all the PL fun, but your immediate job is to:
Integrate OSS Supabase into our own cloud platform
Build the infra to manage hosted user instances
Implement local auth provider integrations
Add features to support Chinese compliance
Buildi a smooth developer onboarding and hosting experience
Who You Are
Strong backend developer (TypeScript / Go / Python / etc.)
Solid PostgreSQL DevOps experience
Experience with cloud deployment and operations
Bonus: Volcengine, Supabase, Neon, Vue.js, Authing, DevRel, marketing relationships
Extras: Gel, MoonBit, OCaml, PL design, compiler development, C/Zig systems programming
Passion for open source and developer tools
